WHAT IS IT LIKE TO WORK AT HOLLISTER!?! // INTERVIEW QUESTIONS + TIPS from www.youtube.com
A question is a statement which seeks a response or an answer. On a regular basis, you can ask to be asked questions. Some questions a open ended which require explanation, explanation and others, while some can be closed, and just require one answer: Yes or No. In certain situations, others pose questions that don't necessarily require a reply but only for someone to hear (rhetoric questions). Based on the form of the issue, your response will need to address what the question is asking for. There are many students who fail exams not because they are dull but due to their inability to grasp what is asked to them. Failure to articulate the question correctly leads to an ineffective action or response. After a presentation, you must be satisfied when people ask you questions. It may be a sign that people were engaged by it and that the talk enticed others. The way you respond will improve the perception of your audience of your company or boost their trust in your product or services. As a professional you will have to master the art of asking pertinent questions and, most importantly, to respond effectively.

Before you start answering questions, ensure it is clear in your mind about what the question is about. There's no harm in finding out the reason for the question being asked. You can ask politely "I apologize, I do not seem to know what you're trying to say Could you please clarify?" You'll communicate more effectively with this approach than simply blabbing away with no awareness or wisdom. Remember that the reason for answering questions is to provide a valuable contribution to the one who is seeking an answer. Don't waste your time. Seek understanding first.

One strategy to increase the quality of your answers to questions in a meaningful and objective way is if you allow the person who asked questions time to complete asking. Some people like to clarify exactly what they want to know. If you answer a question before it is thoroughly asked can appear to be disrespectful. It is not a good idea to assume you know the direction the question is headed, and you must assist the individual with the right answer. If you're time-bound then let the individual "ramble" while taking note of important things. It allows you to think about and synthesize which answer is best to the question. The ability to hear gives the highest success rate when it comes to answering questions.

You need to decide if you are qualified to answer the question or whether someone else is. Is it your right to talk regarding the topic (journalists could be a source of trouble even when you're not expected to be the company spokesperson)? What is the depth of your answer be? Moments of silence and pauses will show that you're just churning out any raw information you've in your mind, but a thought out solution is coming. It is possible to prepare the person expecting to answer you by telling them "Let me think about it ..., Let me take a look." ..". This will ensure that the person does not have to sit in silence thinking you have not heard or you're just not listening, etc. Think through your thoughts and you'll be able to come up with statements that you'll feel good over later. You can figure out the best way to present your argument with wisdom without leaving the person with injuries or wounds that are not healed.
