A question is a phrase that seeks to get a reaction or answer. On a daily basis, there is a chance to receive questions. One method that can increase your ability to answer the question in a timely and objective way is if you give the person who is asking the question the time to finish asking. Some people take their time to define exactly what they are seeking. Answering a question before it is clearly asked for can be disrespectful. Do not assume that you know exactly where the questions are taking and therefore will need to assist reach the goal. If you have time allow the person to "ramble" while you keep track of important elements. It gives you the time to formulate and come up with how to best respond to the question. The ability to listen provides the highest success rate in your responses to questions.

It is up to you to determine if you are competent to answer the question or someone else is. Thinking through also helps you to come up with statements that you will not regret for later. You will know the best way to answer with wisdom without leaving marks or new wounds.
