A question can be described as a sentence which seeks a response or an answer. On a daily basis, you get to ask to ask questions. Some questions are open-ended that require explanation, clarification and etc., while other inquiries are closed , requiring only to answer with a Yes or No. Sometimes, people ask questions that do not need a response but simply to get someone's attention (rhetoric concerns). Depending on the structure to the problem, any response following must provide the information you are trying to find in the question. Most students fail in their exams not because they are dull but because they do not understand what is being asked of them. The failure to convey the issue correctly can lead to a wrong action or response. After the presentation, you should be content if people inquire about your presentation. It could be an indication that people were engaged by your presentation and the talk enticed others. How you respond to questions will enhance your audience's view of you , or increase their confidence when they purchase your product or service. As a professional you will be required to master questions and ask relevant questions but also how to respond to questions efficiently.

Before you start answering a question, be sure you know in your mind what the question is. There is no harm in trying to understand what's being asked. Inquire politely "I am sorry, you don't seem to grasp what you're asking I would appreciate if you could clarify?" It's better to be more concise in such situations than simply talking about it with no any clarity, or even understanding. The purpose behind answering questions is for you to contribute positively to the one who is looking for an answer. Don't waste your time. Seek understanding first.

One way that can enhance the likelihood of you answering your question in an accurate and objective manner is if you give the person who is asking the question time before asking. Some people take their time to explain precisely what they want to know. Being able to answer a problem before it is properly asked might seem rude. Don't believe that you know exactly where the question is headed, and you are trying to help with the right answer. If you're on time leave the person "ramble" while taking note of important details. Also, it gives you time for you to think up the most effective answer to the question. The ability to hear gives you a high success rate with regards to your answers to questions.

You need to decide if you're competent to answer the question or if someone else has the. Can you legally speak about this subject (journalists can make you look bad even if you're suppose to be the company's spokesperson)? What should the response be? Silence and breaks in the conversation ensure that you're just creating whatever material that you have in the mind but a clearly reasoned out answer is on its way. You can actually help the person waiting for an answer by declaring "Let me think ..., Let me know." ..". This means that the person will take a break from thinking you've missed something or you're just not listening, etc. This helps to think of statements which you'll not regret over later. You can determine the best way to present your argument with wisdom without leaving scratches or fresh wounds.
